Steady-state analysis of a novel ZVT interleaved boost converter
- Autor:
Naci Genc
- Resumen:
In this paper, a novel soft-switched interleaved boost converter composed of two-cell boost conversion units and an auxiliary circuit is proposed and investigated. The proposed auxiliary circuit is implemented using only one auxiliary switch and a minimum number of passive components without an effective increase in the cost and in the complexity of the converter

Real-valued MUSIC algorithm for power harmonics and interharmonics estimation
- Autor:
Tao Cai
- Resumen:
The pseudo-spectrum obtained by the realvalued MUSIC algorithm is more distinguishable than that by the classic complex-valued MUSIC. Moreover, the new algorithm's accuracy is close to that of Root-MUSIC with lower computational burden. Numerical simulations and experimental results proved that the algorithm proposed in the paper can be a good alternative for power harmonics and interharmonics estimation

Fast-squarer circuits using 3-bit-scan without overlapping bits
- Autor:
Stefania Perri
- Resumen:
This paper deals with a novel method for the ASIC design of fast squaring circuits. The main innovation here introduced resides in the way of generating partial products: the new technique is based on a 3-bit-scan without overlapped bits. Thus, it allows higher speed performances to be reached and lower power consumption to be achieved, with respect to previous proposals

Efficient multi-threshold voltage techniques for minimum leakage current in nanoscale technology
- Autor:
Abdoul Rjoub
- Resumen:
During the last decade, power dissipation has become the main factor that affects the operation of portable and handheld equipments [1]. The high acceleration from µ-technology to n-technology was one of the main issues that increase the demand to reduce the power dissipation and to increase the speed operation in the digital circuits [2]. In µ-technology the dynamic power dissipation was the main resource of power dissipation [3]. The recent motivations to n-technology highlight the leakage power dissipation as the main resource of power dissipation in digital circuits [4,5]

Design criterion for high-speed low-power SC circuits
- Autor:
F. A. Amoroso
- Resumen:
The settling behavior of switched-capacitor (SC) circuits is investigated in this paper. The presented study allows a new settling optimization strategy based on an advanced circuit model to be defined. Design examples in a commercial 0.35-mm CMOS technology prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach
