Phatic technological habituation explains individuals’ trust in technologies for relationships across distances. Implementing environmental technologies in development situations: The example of ecological toilets
- Resumen:
The adoption of ecological toilets is examined at a household and community level. Novel technologies are shown to require an emphasis on community education. The value of a demonstration model is highlighted. The transfer of novel technologies requires an iterative process. Needed changes imply a need to rework established evaluation techniques.

We examined the late-entrants strategy of Taiwan and Korea’s TFT-LCD industry. Korea challenged the first mover and competed with the frontier-Japan. Taiwan focused on being a superior quick follower. The niche strategies for Korea and Taiwan attributed to different capabilities. The approaches shed light on the strategies for developing countries.
