Techllical hurdles, time constraints, and high costs are otten cited as obstacles to the generation of more sophisticated 3D characters. To find out which obstacles are real and which are perceived, this computer artist created a comic-art character from scratch, starting with a 2D pencil sketch and ending with a fully articulated, 3D figure.
