Basic Behavioral Science Research for Mental Health: Perception, Attention, Learning, and Memory

Resumen:

Perception, learning, and memory are among the original topics of psychological inquiry. Many perceptual processes are well understood and provide a bridge between neuroscience and behavioral science. Why all people who experience traumatic events do not develop fears and phobias; why others develop such fears in the absence of traumatic experiences; and how people acquire self-control and make decisions are examples of questions that will be addressed by future research on perception, attention, learning, and memory
