Berkowitz of Columbia University Medical Center, and James Bruce Bussel of Weill Cornell Medical College, winners of the King Faisal International Prizes; Scott Aaronson of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Robert Wood of Harvard University, winners of the Alan T. Waterman Award; and Christine Petit of the Institut Pasteur and Collège de France and Karen Steel of the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, who have received the second annual award from the Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation.
