On the design of multi notch filters

Autor:

Rohini Deshpande

S. B. Jain

Resumen:

The design of FIR multi notch filter (NF) has been evolved from IIR NF. Mathematical formulas to compute the coefficients of impulse response h(m) for the proposed design has been given. Rejection bandwidth can be controlled by varying ‘r’, the pole length of the prototype IIR NF. Special case of notches at ?1 and ?2 with the condition [cos?1.cos?2 = ? 1/2] leads to half the coefficients h(m) as zeros, resulting in an efficient multi notch filter design.

A CMOS voltage regulator for passive RFID tag ICs

Autor:

Jianping Guo

Ka Nang Leung

Resumen:

A 700-nA voltage regulator, consisting of a self-biased mutuallycompensated voltage reference, a low dropout(LDO) voltage regulation circuit and a power-on-reset (POR) circuit, has been applied to a passive UHF RFID tag IC and fabricated in a commercial 0.18?µm CMOS technology. The temperature coefficients of the voltage reference and the output voltage are only 9 and 43?ppm/?C, respectively. A POR signal with 150-ns-width pulse is also generated for the digital processing part in the tag IC.

Robust model order reduction technique for MIMO systems via ANN-LMI-based state residualization

Autor:

Resumen:

This paper presents a new technique for model order reduction with dominant eigenvalue preservation. The new method is formulated based on the prediction of an artificial neural network along with the linear matrix inequality optimization technique. Utilising the non-projection state residualization technique, a reduced model order is obtained. Results' comparison with well-known techniques such as Schur decomposition, proper orthogonal decomposition, and state elimination through balanced realization shows the superiority of the new method.

Resumen:

In this paper, we propose active-termination scheme for high-speed chip-tochip data communication and also propose, a high-speed duobinary precoder architecture and a low-power equalizer topology. Analysis and design of active-terminated transmitter and receiver circuits in 1.8 V, 0.18?µm Digital CMOS technology is presented. Post layout performance shows that the high-speed communication link works up to 8 Gb/s speed with a power consumption of 42.9 mW, while transmitting the data over 29.5 in. length FR4 PCB trace, for a target bit-error rate (BER) of 10?15.

Resumen:

In this paper voltage-mode electronically tunable biquad filter is proposed. Circuit, non-ideal and sensitivity analyses are calculated. Proposed biquad filter a simulation using PSPICE simulation with TSMC CMOS 0.35?µm process model parameters was performed and the simulation results show that filter characteristics are in good agreement with the predicted theory.
